Andel, a cooperative that runs the electric grid energy infrastructure for 15 % of the Danish population, embarked on a transformative two-week internal project aimed at exploring novel ideas and technologies. Focused on the concept of prosumerism in energy distribution, Andel leveraged Hololink’s AR Editor to create an immersive Augmented Reality experience. Objective

The primary objective of the project was to utilise AR technology to illustrate a prosumer scenario within an energy grid, demonstrating how individuals within a local community can generate, store, and distribute renewable energy. By leveraging the Hololink Editor, Andel aimed to create a visually captivating 3D visualisation that would allow visitors and employees to explore the concept from various angles. The goal was to effectively communicate the benefits of prosumerism in energy distribution in an engaging and accessible manner.

Using the Hololink Editor

Thanks to the intuitive drag and drop editor, Andel was able to create the experience without needing any expensive or time consuming technical support. By just using their own and publicly available 3D models, they were able to create a working prototype in a matter of hours.

After this, it was a relatively easy task to create a finished presentation through a few iterations.

They set up a visualisation of the localised energy grid, including prosumer setups and renewable energy sources, integrating interactive elements to enhance user engagement.

The setup did away with the challenges that creating this in a more advanced tool would entail.
